Q - I understand you are organising Treaty of Waitangi training for newcomers, can you tell me more?

A - Yes, courses are held throughout the region, mostly for migrants looking for employment in the health and government sectors. Courses already scheduled can be found on the News page or the Events page. Otherwise, contact the Settlement Support Coordinator to be added to a contact list for upcoming courses.

 

Q - I am here on a 2-year working visa that runs out soon and would like some help with filling out forms. English is my second language.

Q - Is there a group in Nelson that I can join for social events? My husband works and I stay home with our children.

A - Yes, contact Nelson Newcomers Network on info@newcomers.co.nz or 03-539 0030. They organise several events throughout the year both in Nelson and Motueka.

 

Q - My family and I are researching employment opportunities in your lovely country, do you have a website where I can look for work?

A - There is a lot of useful employment information on the Employment section of this site, including job listing websites that you can view open employment opportunities.
