English as a Second Language (ESOL)

Knowledge of New Zealand English is very helpful for you to live in New Zealand. Classes are known as ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).

English language schools in Nelson provide top-quality education through experienced and qualified teachers, preparing students for English language International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and Cambridge examinations. In addition to the Nelson English Centre and NMIT, there is a home based language school in Richmond, an international middle school and a German language support service for secondary and other students.

ESOL classes

Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology English Language Centre runs ESOL classes all year. A limited number of free places are available for NZ residents or citizens.
